Community spirit was alive and thriving during our 24th Rock the Block event, as neighbors, volunteers, and partners came together to make a meaningful impact. Over the course of the event, dozens of homes and public spaces were revitalized, reflecting the heart of our mission: to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. From painting and landscaping to repairs that boost safety and accessibility, each project showcased the power of collective action and the pride of residents investing in their neighborhoods.

Over the course of three impactful days, 15 homes in West Appleton received much-needed revitalization through landscaping, painting, and exterior repairs. The energy didn’t stop there—volunteers also brought fresh life to three schools in the neighborhood: Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary, Wilson Middle School, and Appleton West High School. From planting and painting to installing new benches, these spaces were transformed for students and staff alike. One of the highlights? A brand-new Gaga Pit at Wilson Middle School, giving kids a fun and active way to enjoy their recess time! With additional improvements made at Linwood Park, a total of 26 community projects were completed—each one a step toward a stronger, more vibrant neighborhood.
Coming Together for One Mission

– Mayor Jake Woodford

A Blessing for a Neighbor
“My husband has passed away and I’m getting older. It’s harder for me to keep up with everything. This has taken a lot of stress off of my shoulders, it’s been a Godsend”
