BUILDING SCHEDULE UPDATE:

In every update during our building season, I will list each project and the status of it as well as openings for the next month or so for each.

Project 1: Oneida St. – COMPLETED!
Project 2: Granite St. Waupaca – COMPLETED!

Project 4: Columbian Ave. Neenah – Women Build – COMPLETED!

Project 5: Newberry St. Appleton
This home will be sponsored by J.J. Keller & Associates and they will fill all volunteer openings.

Project 6: Douglas St. Neenah – this will be our 100th home built in the Fox Cities!

Project 7: Maple St. Neenah
This 101st home is being sponsored by the church where our affiliate was started – Congregational UCC of Neenah! They will fill most of the volunteer openings.

Project 8: Taylor St. Little Chute
This home is being sponsored by Boldt Construction. They will fill all of the volunteer openings.

Project 9: Foote St. Seymour
This home will be the second of five homes sponsored by Thrivent Builds this season. They will fill most of the volunteer openings.

Project 10: Foote St. Seymour
Volunteer openings for this project include:
* Thursday, August 14 – Task: Install beam & sill plates – 3 volunteers needed

Projects 11 & 12: A twindominium on Kerry Lane in Menasha
These homes will be the third & fourth of five homes sponsored by Thrivent Builds this season. They will fill most of the volunteer openings.

Project 13: Lorraine St. Neenah
This project will be the fifth of five homes sponsored by Thrivent Builds this season. They will fill most of the volunteer openings.

Project 14: Weimar St. Appleton
This home will be sponsored by J.J. Keller & Associates and they will fill all volunteer openings.

If you would like to sign up for anything listed above, simply contact me with the project # and the date you'd like to volunteer. All volunteer slots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please note: all workdays are from 8am-4pm unless otherwise stated. Lunch and beverages are provided to all who volunteer. We ask each volunteer to bring the following items with them (if you have them): hammer, tape measure, utility knife, work gloves, tool belt, pencil, water bottle and morning snack (if you want one).

It is required that you are onsite for our mandatory orientation/safety meeting held at 8am sharp for each workday! All volunteers must fill out a worksite registration form for EACH different site where they volunteer. We have insurance-regulated limitations for volunteers under age 18. Contact me for a full age policy.

MEAL PROVIDERS:
Habitat is in need of lunch meals for the following dates for 2 homes that will be built side-by-side in Seymour:
þ Thursday, August 14 – lunch for 10 people at Project 10: 744 Foote St. Seymour
þ Tuesday, August 19 – lunch for 15 people at Project 9: 750 Foote St. Seymour
þ Tuesday, August 19 – lunch for 12 people at Project 10: 744 Foote St. Seymour
OR one lunch provider could feed all 27 people since the homes are next to each other!

Providing lunch involves preparing and serving lunch at 11:30am. This is a tax-deductible donation.

There are currently no openings for site support.

LAWN MOWING NEEDED IN MENASHA:
We are in need of a volunteer to mow a lot at 508 4th St. in Menasha. There is currently a home on this property that we are in the process of taking down, so the lawn area is smaller than a regular empty lot. Anyone of any age can help with this, but you would need to use your own lawn mower. Please let me know if you can help us in this way.

HOUSE DEDICATION CEREMONIES:
House dedication ceremonies include a time for prayer, thanks and well wishes to the new homeowners. It also includes the gifts for each family of a Bible and their new keys as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony. Dedications conclude with an open house & refreshments. All are welcome & invited! COMPOSITE DECKING STILL AVAILABLE AT ReSTORE:
The large donation of composite decking we received recently has been a HUGE hit at ReStore. In fact, the sale of these pieces as well as other factors just gave us our biggest sales week in the history of Habitat ReStore recently! Thank you to all who donate, shop & volunteer at our ReStore!!!!

There is still some composite decking available in the redwood color. Specifically here is what is left:
* Fascia - $18/board
* 12 foot deck boards - $18
* 16 foot deck boards - $24

100TH HOUSE CELEBRATION ACTIVITIES:
Please mark your calendars for our 100th home celebration event! Please plan to join us!

On Saturday, Aug. 16 from 11am-2pm we will have a family-friendly event celebrating 100 homes built by Habitat for Humanity supporters in our 15 years of existence! The celebration will include these things:
þ Kid’s activities – games, face painting, inflatables, Lowe’s kids building clinic and more!
þ Food & beverages – brat fry, free corn roast, popcorn, lemonade & cotton candy
þ Live music
þ FREE gift bags filled with goodies for the first 100 families who attend!
þ 100th house dedication ceremony at noon
þ MUCH, MUCH MORE!

The home is located at 137 Douglas St. Neenah and most of the festivities will take place at Douglas Park (behind the home). Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend this fun celebration of a very important milestone for our affiliate. We will host this event rain or shine.

100 homes … 1 mission!

100th HOME CELEBRATION ~ VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
In order for us to put on a big event like this, volunteer help will be needed. Below is a list of volunteer opportunities for our Aug. 16th event. Please let me know your 1st and 2nd choice jobs and make sure you can commit to the full 3.5 hour shifts of 10:30am-2pm.
* Set-up from 9:30-11am – 3 volunteers needed
* Take-down from 2-3:30pm – 5 volunteers needed

For all other volunteer opportunities listed, we will need your help from 11am-2pm:
* Lowe’s kids building clinic – 3 volunteers needed
* Face painting (must have previous face painting experience) – 2 volunteers needed
* Corn roast – 3 volunteers needed
