Why Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity

volunteerThank you for considering volunteering with Fox Cities Habitat! We have many volunteer opportunities and all it takes is your desire to make a difference in the lives of families.

Your skills can help our organization build homes for deserving families in the community. There are tasks for skilled and unskilled construction professionals, retail, stocking and deconstruction work at the Habitat ReStore, office assistance work at our main office, and family service and other committee work. We also have opportunities for those who enjoy cooking to provide lunch or snacks for our construction volunteers. Most of these tasks only require a willingness to learn and an ability to work with others.

Help Build Your Community

By volunteering with the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, you are helping to strengthen our community. Our mission of building simple, decent, affordable homes in our area helps give children a permanant place to call home, builds a stronger sense of community & fellowship, and really gives families a foundation on which they can become all that God intended them to become.

Learn New Skills...and brush up on some that have gotten rusty

constructionOne of the best things about volunteering with Habitat (and just about any non-profit) is learning new skills. If you can provide the labor, we can provide you with the expertise and guidence needed to help build a home, repurpose materials at the ReStore, or learn new skills in the office. If you are a professional who is looking for new ways to use your expertise in your field, serving on a Habitat committee is a great way to help your community and yourself.
