Habitat for Humanity International

constructionHabitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a nonprofit ecumenical Christian housing ministry.  HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. To accomplish these goals, people of all backgrounds, races and religions are invited to build houses together in partnership with families in need.

HFHI was founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller and his wife Linda. Today, International has built over 350,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.75 million people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent and affordable shelter.

Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of HFHI that acts in partnership with and on behalf of International. Each affiliate is an independently run, nonprofit organization. Fox Cities Habitat coordinates all aspects of Habitat home building on a local level including fundraising, site selection, partner family selection and support, house construction and mortgage servicing.
