Preventive and prompt maintenance is the key to increasing the enjoyment and value of your home. The easiest way to care for your home is to follow a regular maintenance schedule.
Spring & Summer Maintenance
- Check for plumbing leaks & water flow from faucets.
- Check crawl space for excessive dampness or leaks. Ensure that all outside water runs away from the house.
- Replace furnace/air conditioner filters monthly.
- Have HVAC serviced every 2-3 years.
- Examine for evidence of roof leaks from the insdie.
- Check window and door screens. Repair as necessary.
- Check smoke detector batteries every 6 months.
Fall & Winter Maintenance
- Check caulking and weather stripping around windows & doors. Remove old caulk before recaulking.
- Drain and store outside houses.
- Check insulation in attic and remove or add as necessary.
